Meet the team

Tony Goertz
Chief Flight Instructor
CFI/II/MEI

Tony started flying in 2016 just south of Frankfurt, Germany. He has been instructing for over three years, during which he taught mountain flying in the Alps and the Rockies. His instructional experience includes teaching everything from Sport Pilots to Multi Engine Airline Transport Pilots. Tony has flown in over 20 different aircraft types for a total of roughly 2,000 hours of flight time

Whenever he isn’t teaching, Tony serves as a Captain flying King Airs for medical evacuation flights.

Kelcey Martin
Assistant Chief Flight Instructor
CFI/II/MEI

Kelcey started flying 5 years ago at a college flight program out of Rangely, CO, where she served as the Captain of the NIFA team. Most of her experience has been flying around mountains at high density altitudes, Kelcey has flown down both the East and West coast lines and has ferried two of our airplanes to Santa Fe.

She previously taught in Durango, CO, before joining the SkyLabs team.

Kameron Larson
Flight Instructor
CFI/II

Kameron got into aviation through the example and lifestyle of family members and neighbors who inspired him to start flying. He began his aviation journey in Utah, and since then Kameron has earned his CFI and CFII ratings. He loves flying because of the freedom it gives you—there’s truly no better desk job than being in the cockpit.

As an instructor, he strives to create a fun, personal, and safety-oriented environment where students can feel comfortable learning and growing as pilots.

Garett Ross
Flight Instructor
CFI/II

Garett began his flight training in Southern California, learning to fly in and around the busy Los Angeles Bravo airspace. He has since flown over 500 hours in his Grumman AA-5 all over the country, including a Los Angeles-to-New York City trip featuring a circle around the Statue of Liberty. He has also gained invaluable experience flying in the demanding winds of West Texas. Garett brings a fun, focused, and supportive teaching style that builds safe and confident pilots.

Dennis Deaton

Dennis’ career started in the Air Force working on Black Hawk Helicopters. For the past decade he has been working in general aviation as an airframe and powerplant mechanic (A&P) with inspection authorization (IA).
