  • The Grumman AA-1B is an excellent trainer aircraft due to its responsive handling, simplicity, and straightforward design. Its light control feel helps student pilots quickly develop precise stick-and-rudder skills, while its low-wing configuration introduces them to performance characteristics similar to more advanced aircraft. The sliding glass canopy also offers perfect visibility in all directions.

    All of our Grummans are equipped with upgraded engines and larger propellers to help with climb performance in New Mexico’s thin air.

  • Our Mooney M20 is a single engine complex aircraft. It features a Garmin GFC500 autopilot with dual G5s and a Garmin GNS530W GPS, making it a technically advanced (TAA) airplane.

    The M20 is a great airplane to transition into a faster, more complicated airframe, including variable pitch propellers, retractable landing gear, a two-axis autopilot, as well as faster cruise speeds. We use it primarily for Instrument and Commercial flight training.

  • The Diamond DA62 presents an exceptional platform to learn to fly multi-engine aircraft. The full authority digital engine control (FADEC) simplifies normal and emergency operations significantly, Its modern glass cockpit builds real-world avionics skills, preparing pilots better than other twin trainers to fly jet aircraft.

    The DA62 is also able to climb up to 13,000 ft with only a single engine operating.
